Lionel Botbol
Founder
Lionel Botbol is a seasoned investment banker with more than 35 years of experience in strategic and financial advisory.
He began his career at Arthur Andersen in Paris, within the transaction advisory practice, before joining JPMorgan in London as a Senior Vice President in the M&A division. There, he built the firm's real estate M&A practice from the ground up, taking it to the number one ranked advisor in the sector for five consecutive years.
Lionel then joined UBS in London as Managing Director and Co-Head of European Real Estate and Lodging Investment Banking, where he advised on landmark transactions including the €27.8 billion merger of Unibail and Rodamco, and raised several billion euros in equity and debt for listed real estate companies and private funds.
After UBS, Lionel founded LioSquare, an independent advisory and investment platform built to deliver bespoke solutions for clients — drawing on his experience and senior network, with an entrepreneurial approach and interests aligned with every client he works with.
